JOB TITLE: Training & Learning Experience Manager JOB GRADE:
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office LOCATION: ACCRA – GHANA
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: General Manager
1.               JOB PURPOSE: To design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective training programs and learning experiences that empower our client’s target audiences (e.g., educators, administrators, students, Institution to maximize their understanding and utilization of our client’s educational technology products and services, ultimately leading to improved learning outcomes and successful adoption.
2.               KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
●                Technical/Operations duties I. Training Strategy and Design:

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify training gaps and learning requirements for various user groups (e.g., teachers, administrators, students and Institutions)
  • Training Program Development: Design comprehensive and engaging training programs, including curriculum outlines, learning objectives, activities, and assessments, aligned with user needs and product functionalities.
  • Learning Experience Design: Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create effective and enjoyable learning experiences across various modalities (e.g., live webinars, on-demand modules, in-person workshops, blended learning).
  • Content Development Oversight: Oversee the creation and curation of high-quality training materials, including presentations, videos, interactive simulations, job aids, and knowledge base articles. This may involve direct creation or managing external vendors.
  • Technology Integration: Strategically integrate our client’s own technology and other relevant educational tools into the training programs to model effective usage and enhance the learning experience.

II. Training Delivery and Facilitation:

  • Facilitate Training Sessions: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions through various methods, adapting style and content to different audiences and learning environments.
  • Train-the-Trainer Programs: Develop and deliver train-the-trainer programs to equip external partners e.g. Teachers to effectively deliver training.
  • Learning Platform Management: Manage and maintain our client’s learning management system (LMS) or other training platforms, including content uploads, user management, and reporting.
  • Technical Support for Training: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to training participants.

III. Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop Evaluation Strategies: Design and implement evaluation methods (e.g., surveys, feedback forms, performance metrics) to assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze training data and feedback to generate reports on program effectiveness, user engagement, and learning outcomes.
  • Iterative Improvement: Utilize evaluation data and feedback to continuously refine and update training content, delivery methods, and overall learning experiences.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices: Remain informed about the latest trends and best practices in training, learning experience design, and educational technology.

IV. Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product development, customer success, sales, and marketing teams to ensure training aligns with product updates, customer needs, and marketing messaging.
  • External Partner Management: Liaise with external training partners or consultants as needed.
  • Communication and Promotion: Communicate training schedules, resources, and success stories to relevant stakeholders.
  • Advocate for Learning: Champion the importance of effective training and learning experiences within the organization and to external users.

●                 Qualification ·       Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Communications, Educational Technology, Instructional Design Development.

·       Must have a Master’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Human Resources Development, Communications, or a related field.

·       Must possess a certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Agile certifications)

·       Knowledge of the Educational Technology Industry: – Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Virtual learning environments (VLEs) will be an advantage.
