1.            ABOUT THE COMPANY We are a dynamic and growing recruitment agency with operations in multiple countries, now expanding into the South African labor market. Our mission is to connect exceptional talent with leading employers across diverse industries. With our Johannesburg office as the anchor for this new venture, we are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial HR Business Partner (HRBP) to spearhead HR operations and business development in South Africa.
2.            JOB PURPOSE: As the first hire, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be instrumental in establishing the agency’s operations in South Africa, driving both HR and business development strategies. This multifaceted role combines strategic HR management with operational responsibilities, including talent acquisition, client acquisition, and the development of key recruitment frameworks to support the agency’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment and demonstrate adaptability in navigating challenges.
3.            KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
●                   Technical/Operations duties 1.            HR Strategy & Start-Up Operations

●             Collaborate with leadership to design and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and market dynamics.

●             Develop HR policies, workflows, and systems compliant with South African labor laws, ensuring best practices in recruitment.

●             Establish and oversee core operational functions, including payroll, employee records, and benefits administration.

●             Implement recruitment technology, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

2.            Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Operations

●             Establish efficient sourcing, hiring, and onboarding processes tailored to the South African market.

●             Monitor and improve recruitment pipelines to achieve industry-standard time-to-fill metrics.

●             Utilize market insights to create competitive recruitment strategies and deliver exceptional results.

3.            Business Development & Client Acquisition

●             Identify and acquire new clients, developing strong partnerships across various industries.

●             Negotiate and secure recruitment contracts to achieve revenue growth targets.

●             Design client-specific recruitment solutions and pricing models to enhance market competitiveness.

●             Track business development metrics, including client conversion rates and contract closures.

4.            Performance Management & Training

●             Develop performance management systems to ensure accountability and growth for employees.

●             Design and implement training programs to enhance recruitment techniques, client engagement, and industry knowledge.

●             Conduct skills assessments to identify and address learning needs within the team.

5.            Compliance & Risk Management

●             Ensure compliance with South African labor laws, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Employment Equity Act.

●             Conduct regular audits to mitigate risks and maintain adherence to internal policies and external regulations.

6.            Employee Engagement & Culture Building

●             Foster a high-performing and inclusive workplace culture that reflects the agency’s values.

●             Act as a trusted advisor for employees, addressing workplace challenges and development needs proactively.

●             Launch employee engagement initiatives to enhance retention, satisfaction, and a sense of belonging.

7.             Networking & Community Engagement

●             Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, government bodies, and professional groups to establish the agency’s credibility.

●             Actively participate in industry events to enhance the agency’s visibility and brand presence.

8.            Scaling & Change Management

●             Support leadership in scaling operations and managing organizational changes effectively.

●             Drive communication and planning to support employees and clients through transitions, ensuring minimal disruption.

5. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ●             Revenue Growth: Meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets through client acquisition and contract closures.

●             Client Acquisition: Secure a minimum of five new clients within the first month.

●             Time-to-Fill: Maintain an average time-to-fill for client roles of under 10 business days.

●             Operational Compliance: Achieve 100% compliance with South African labor laws and policies.

●             Employee Engagement: Ensure an employee satisfaction score of 80% or higher.

7.  Qualification ●                   Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

●                   3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in the recruitment or staffing industry.

●                   Proven success in client acquisition, business development, and revenue generation.

●                   Strong understanding of South African labor laws and HR best practices.

●                   Proficiency in HR software and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

8. Specific Working Experience ●                   Minimum 3 years working experience
