We are seeking a results-driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to spearhead client acquisition and foster strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and market presence. | |
2. JOB PURPOSE: | The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing our Staffing Agency’s footprint in South Africa by driving business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities, and securing long-term client relationships. This role demands a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the recruitment landscape and a proven track record in client acquisition and revenue generation. | |
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | ||
● Technical/Operations duties | 1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
● Identify and engage prospective clients across various industries. ● Develop and implement client acquisition strategies to meet revenue targets. ● Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders to secure repeat business. ● Act as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries, ensuring timely responses and resolutions. 2. Market Research & Strategy Development ● Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the recruitment industry. ● Develop competitive pricing models and tailor solutions to meet client needs. ● Analyze competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge. 3. Business Development Operations ● Create compelling proposals, pitch decks, and presentations for prospective clients. ● Negotiate and close recruitment contracts that align with the agency’s revenue objectives. ● Track and report key metrics, including client conversion rates, revenue generation, and contract closures. 4. Networking & Brand Building ● Represent the Agency at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions. ● Build partnerships with local organizations, government bodies, and professional associations to enhance brand visibility. ● Leverage digital platforms and social media to promote the agency’s services and attract new clients. 5. Compliance & Reporting ● Ensure all business activities comply with South African labor laws and industry standards. ● Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on business development progress and financial performance. |

5. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS | ● Revenue Growth: Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
● Client Acquisition: Secure a minimum of 10 new clients within the first month. ● Contract Closures: Maintain a 70% success rate in proposal-to-contract conversions. ● Market Presence: Establish the Agency as a trusted recruitment partner within targeted industries. ● Compliance: Achieve 100% adherence to legal and ethical business practices. |

7. Qualification | ● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
● 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the recruitment or staffing industry. ● Proven track record in revenue generation and client acquisition. ● Strong understanding of the South African labor market and business landscape. ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms. |
