1.            ABOUT THE COMPANY We are a new and dynamic HR recruitment agency entering the South African labor market. With a mission to connect top-tier talent with leading employers across diverse industries, our Johannesburg office serves as the cornerstone for our South African expansion. We are seeking a results-driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to spearhead client acquisition and foster strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and market presence.
2.            JOB PURPOSE: The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing our Staffing Agency’s footprint in South Africa by driving business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities, and securing long-term client relationships. This role demands a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the recruitment landscape and a proven track record in client acquisition and revenue generation.
3.            KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
●                   Technical/Operations duties 1.            Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

●             Identify and engage prospective clients across various industries.

●             Develop and implement client acquisition strategies to meet revenue targets.

●             Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders to secure repeat business.

●             Act as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.

2.            Market Research & Strategy Development

●             Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the recruitment industry.

●             Develop competitive pricing models and tailor solutions to meet client needs.

●             Analyze competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

3.            Business Development Operations

●             Create compelling proposals, pitch decks, and presentations for prospective clients.

●             Negotiate and close recruitment contracts that align with the agency’s revenue objectives.

●             Track and report key metrics, including client conversion rates, revenue generation, and contract closures.

4.            Networking & Brand Building

●             Represent the Agency at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions.

●             Build partnerships with local organizations, government bodies, and professional associations to enhance brand visibility.

●             Leverage digital platforms and social media to promote the agency’s services and attract new clients.

5.            Compliance & Reporting

●             Ensure all business activities comply with South African labor laws and industry standards.

●             Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on business development progress and financial performance.

4. General duties Perform any other duties as assigned by leadership to support agency growth and operations
5. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ●             Revenue Growth: Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

●             Client Acquisition: Secure a minimum of 10 new clients within the first month.

●             Contract Closures: Maintain a 70% success rate in proposal-to-contract conversions.

●             Market Presence: Establish the Agency as a trusted recruitment partner within targeted industries.

●             Compliance: Achieve 100% adherence to legal and ethical business practices.

7.  Qualification ●                    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

●                    5+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the recruitment or staffing industry.

●                    Proven track record in revenue generation and client acquisition.

●                    Strong understanding of the South African labor market and business landscape.

●                    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.

8. Specific Working Experience ●                    Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
